Storage Solution Replacement Bid Tabulation.pdf
Raytown SHI final.pdf
Background & Rationale: Part of the district's EMC server storage hardware is at end of manufacturer support. The remaining storage is now at a point where the maintenance cost will exceed the value of the equipment. In addition, the district servers are due for replacement next fiscal year. The district has chosen to take advantage of this timing and replace all storage and servers and move to a newer technology that combines all into one solution. This solution will not only save money, but will simplify the technical support of these systems.

A request for bid was released, four vendors responded with SHI returning the lowest bid for option 1 at $550,003.29. Once the lowest bidder was selected, the district then worked with the manufacturer for additional discounts and a trade-in on the old equipment. After these negotiations, SHI submitted a final purchase price of $431,372.10
Budget to be Charged: Technology and Food Service budgets
Motion: I move that the Board authorize the purchase of EMC equipment through SHI in the amount of $431,372.10.
