Background & Rationale:
|
Last month, the board approved student 1 to 1 devices. This month, teacher laptops and a combination of additional laptop models will be awarded for purchase throughout this and next fiscal year to meet staff needs. Additional purchases will be brought to the Board in accordance to policy. A bid was released on March 15 and 1 vendor responded. As with the student device bid, we verified pricing with the manufacturer, past bids and open market to ensure fair pricing. The Board is asked to award the bid to CDWG for purchases of all listed Lenovo models through March 2019, with the initial purchase of 650 teacher/staff laptops (option 7) at the price of $647.70 for a total purchase of $421,005.
