Background & Rationale: The Food Service Department requires additional freezer storage to support the expansion of the after school meal program.
1. Bid specifications and request for the freezer bid were placed on the Raytown Quality Schools procurement website.
2. Bids were received by B&J/Peerless and Martin Mechanical Contractors
3. Bids were publicly opened.
4. A review of each bid was conducted and B&J/Peerless was the overall low cost vendor.
Budget to be Charged: Food Service Budget for the amount of $121,639.00 with a 10% contingency.
Motion: I move that the Board of Education approve the Warehouse Freezer bid from B&J/Peerless at a cost of $121,639.00 with a 10% contingency for a total cost of $133,802.90.
