Background & Rationale: The iMac computers used for graphic design, marketing and other creative classes at the high school are over 6 years old and are due for rotation. However, the high school student 1 to 1 devices are able to run all software necessary for these classes. Instead of replacing the 280 iMac computers at approximately $1,000 each, the district has decided to purchase monitors, mice and keyboards for these classrooms instead. The needed software will be loaded on the laptops of students enrolled in the classes and will provide the opportunity for students to work on their creative projects at home.

The monitors, keyboards and mice will allow for easier manipulation of the software while working on assignments during class.

A RFB was released and three vendors responded. CDI returned the lowest bid.
Budget to be Charged: Technology
Motion: I move that the Board award the purchase of monitors, keyboards and mice to CDI for the amount of $46,276.80.
