Background & Rationale:
|
Supporting our secondary students engaged in after school enrichment activities, the After School Meal Program began on January 8, 2018. This program has successfully provided full meals to a growing number of students after school hours. Students working hard after school expanding their knowledge and skill base in such areas as additional school sponsored tutoring, clubs and sports have been bridging the gap of time between meals by taking advantage of this program.
The attached document shows a breakdown of after school meal participation data by building based on the number of students engaging in activities on the given dates. While we are pleased to see so many students reaping these benefits this early in the program, our goal is to continue expanding these supports, increasing participation for every student.
